Project Description:
An eclectic evening of classical and contemporary dance was presented at the Cork Opera House. The festive production featured the Prima Ballerina of the Royal Swedish Ballet, Marie Lindqvist, as the Sugar Plum Fairy in Cork City Ballet’s production of ‘The Nutcracker Suite’. Also in ‘The Nutcracker’, Principal Dancer Alan Foley partnered Irish ballerina Monica Loughman in the sparkling ‘Snow Pas de Deux’, which was enhanced by magnificent costumes specially commissioned and made at the Kirov Ballet in St. Petersburg.
