The startling and terrifying prophetic visions of the Seven Trumpets of the Apocalypse were the inspiration for this new multi-art production by the award-winning Scottish music theatre company, Theatre Cryptic.

Transcending traditional boundaries of music performance, Apocalypse unveiled seven striking tableaux through live and recorded music, visuals and performance. Audiences were taken on a rollercoaster ride of spectacular aural and visual imagery representing the kaleidoscope of startling prophetic visions conjured up by each of the Seven Trumpets.

A Cork 2005 commission, Apocalypse was a multi art form collaboration between Scottish composer Anthea Haddow, Belfast-born Director Cathie Boyd and trumpeter Mark O’Keeffe which aimsed, through the use of digital audio and visual technologies, to explore the possibilities in live performance offered by this new media.
