Project Description:
‘What If...’ was a collecitve exploration of Public Space. From October 2004 Cork Community Art Link gathered a multi-disciplinary team of artists and creative individuals to work in collaboration with fifteen Cork-based community and voluntary groups in a creative exploration of public space.

Between 8 – 15 July different perspectives, reflections and aspirations were brought together on site at Triskel and surrounding streets, lanes and parks, in a creative commentary of public space developed through a ten month process of consultations with groups, workshops, interventions as well as artist's residencies.

For one week ‘What If…’ reclaimed a piece of urban public space with an eclectic mixed media environment that included visual art work, 3D pieces, sound installations, stories, video projections, multimedia installations, performances, conversations, dance, archives and documentation from the project as well as random acts of creativity.
