Project Description:
The City Library launched a new publishing programme during 2005. The publications which resulted were:

1. ‘Principles of Freedom’ by Terence MacSwiney (republication) which was launched on 30 March 2005, the 85th anniversary of the election of MacSwiney as Lord Mayor.
2. ‘The Bones of Us’, in partnership with Write Together in Churchfield, was launched in October 2005 and contained new poetry and prose by 20 people who came through the literacy programme in Churchfield.
3. ‘A Grand Parade: memories of Cork City Libraries 1855-2005’, launched in December 2005, was an impressionistic history of the library service with lots of photos and personal recollections.
