Project Description:
Chicago-based Goat Island Performance Group is an interdisciplinary company whose eight members have earned an international reputation with evocative projects that blend text, movement and imagery. They have developed professional mentoring schools in the United States, Holland and Scotland.

Invited by Triskel, the Group presented their International Summer School programme for the first time in Ireland for Cork 2005. The course, which was a 2-week intensive professional development programme for visual artists (including video, architecture, and other forms of visual/spatial/durational expression), live and performance artists, musicians, dancers, film makers and architects, aimed to provide an opportunity for artists to work and study together in a structured, creative environment and offered artists a unique opportunity to explore new territories and support the production of new work.
