Project Description:
This exciting design competition was launched in secondary schools throughout Cork city and county in autumn 2004. Students were asked to design a unique piece of jewellery in gold and diamonds and given the opportunity to exhibit their designs in 2005. The winning design piece was expertly crafted in 18ct gold and diamonds and presented to the young designer at an awards ceremony, with the winner also receiving an exclusive trip to the Diamond Trading Council in London.
