Mick O’Shea and Irene Murphy in Japan

Project Description:
Collective artists Mick O’Shea and Irene Murphy were hosted by Kanazawa College of Art in Japan and participated in their residency programme in Yuwaku Sousaku no Mori, where artists from Korea, Germany and Japan developed works and exhibited with the participation of the students within the college.

Japanese artists Kenji Endo and Hironari Kubota, curator Junko Ii, MA student Kosuke Murata and PhD student Katsuhiko Higashi were invited to participate in the residency programme. The Japanese group gave a presentation of works from the Kanazawa residency programme and Kenji Endo and Hironari Kubota gave a presentation of their own practice in Triskel in November.
