Project Description:
“The River and its Many Faces” was a newly-commissioned piece by composer Johnny McCarthy featuring Soundbeam music/movement technology and was premiered by Cork Music Works and the Cork Pops Orchestra with CIT Multi-Media students, Social Care students, Music Technology students, Community Musician students and harpist Jean Kelly.
The afternoon multi-media performance celebrated the creative talents of people with disability and also included performances by Kaleidoscope Theatre, (Cope Foundation, Mallow); SunnyOak Dance Ensemble (Cope Foundation, Hollyhill); Open Arts Choir (Belfast) and performers from Enable Ireland, Bros. of Charity Lota and Cope (participants in the Gamelan residency directed by Beverly Whyte held in Triskel).
