A Sense of Place – Post Primary Creative Writing Competition

Project Description:
A competition for post primary schools where the focus of writing was on a sense of place and what the idea of place meant to you. Any genre of writing was accepted, poetry, short story, essay, etc.

Prizes for 14 year olds and under were:
1st prize €200, 2nd prize €150, 3rd prize €100
Prizes for 15-18 year olds were:
1st prize €300, 2nd prize €250, 3rd prize €150

Winners and those with special commendations were published in a special publication celebrating teenage writing at this level for Cork 2005: European Capital of Culture.
