Project Description:
Cork Gay Community Development Project created a Cork Queer Diary/Directory, firmly situated in Cork yet of use and interest way beyond Cork.

It included the birthday anniversaries of famous gay people down the ages from Alexander the Great to Cathal Ó Searcaigh and as many Irish gay birthdays as possible to give the gay community a source of longevity and artistic talent with whom to identify and aspire.

The diary also featured a collection of stories and photos of 12 Cork natives/dwellers on their experience of being 'out' in Cork and highlighted Cork Pride as a cultural event of import. It provided comprehensive listings of events and venues of interest to a Cork and nationwide audience and included a calendar of some of the major Pride events throughout Ireland and worldwide.
