Project Description:
There were two main strands in the City Library's 'Celebration of Childhood': Events for Children; and Adults' Remembrances of Childhood.

The City Library brought famous children’s authors to the Central Library and branch libraries in late June and July 2005. As well as popular English language authors, the library brought some of the leading children’s authors in French, German, Italian, Spanish and the Nordic languages. The library also had a number of residencies by creative writers who worked with local children to spur creative writing.
