Project Description:
The Cork Simon Community made a short film which was produced and directed and filmed with resident involvement in the whole process, depicting the cultural diversity and range of cultural expression coming from the community. The film offered an insight into the unique and personal realities of homelessness in Cork, and contributed to public understanding of those who experience homelessness.

Completed in May 2005, the film was screened at the Cork Simon Community ‘Caring City’ Conference in May. It was also selected for the ‘This is Our World’ Short Film Section in the 2005 Cork Film Festival and screened in Triskel. A poetry book was also published in conjunction with the film.
