Project Description:
This short film, produced by Frameworks Films in collaboration with The Mayfield Employment Action Project, explores the notion of community. What does ‘community’ mean, can you build a community and how does it develop? The film is told through the story of the Mayfield community on the northside of Cork city, where an old traditional community had to adapt to extensive local authority housing developments with very few additional facilities. There are now many community groups and organisations operating in the area and a wide range of people living and working in the Mayfield area express their views on what a community means to them.
