Project Description:
The East Cork Early Music Festival ends with a grand finale with the rich harmonies and innovative beauty of Monteverdi’s Vespers.  Written in 1610 to the form of the renaissance church vespers, Monteverdi wove into his version elements of stunning virtuosity and expressivity in true baroque style.  New young Dutch star Anne Grimm travelled from Toronto to complete Capella Currende’s line-up for the the second ever live performance of the work in Ireland.
