‘Carols from Cork 2005’ was broadcast on RTÉ One this Christmas Eve. Filmed in Cork’s North Cathedral, the programme featured festive performances by Sir James Galway, Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin, G4, Iarla Ó Lionáird, Catherine
Leonard, Cork Children’s Chorus and many more. The programme was presented by Gay Byrne and also included seasonal readings from President of Ireland, Mary McAleese and Lord Mayor of Cork Councillor Deirdre Clune.
