Bread Matters III - Mediating Through Art & Bread

Project Description:
BreadMatters is a platform for exchange and collaboration, a vehicle for bringing together artists and other professionals from various disciplines to create artwork and to question, debate and explore the cultural, social and political significance and common usage of bread in society.

In 2005, West Cork Arts Centre hosted a Forum and Exhibition entitled ‘Bread Matters III’. This event will be mainly focused on Irish, Portuguese, Polish and British participation.

The Taste of West Cork Festival also coincided with Bread Matters.

Exhibition

A group exhibition involving Irish, British, Polish and Portuguese artists.

Forum
Date: 17 September 2005
Presentations and performances, including an outdoor projection by Ines Amado, ‘Of a Place: Past, Present and Future’ at the Abbey, Sherkin Island.
