‘The Wheel’
The endless and complicated emotional struggles we contend with in our lives. The performer enters the wheel in Scarlet Red Victorian Costume. She starts the motion of the wheel. The brass treadmill runs through a bath of black dye. The kinetic movement of the piece causes the ink to be picked up as the wheel revolves. The action marks the passage of the performer in an organic and chaotic fashion. The Wheel as a device for live performance action, saturation and envelopment. World première from The Futility of Conveying Emotion series.
