An installation of over 1,000 scarlet red pinwheels adorned the green area that hugs the Lough. The Bird Sanctuary was turned into a canvass for performance artist, Aideen Barry. Almost floating on the surface of the water, ten gramophones played sound installation pieces from the Futility of Conveying Emotion series. From behind the island the performer emerged in a large insect-like floating costume. Oars propelled from beneath her gown. As she slowly moved around the lake she planted windmills onto the surface of the water.
