Project Description:
‘Bodily Functions’ is a title or name, which encompasses two strands. Strand one was a programming strand where the national and international practitioners in the Live Art sector were invited to Cork throughout 2005 to perform existing works and create new works in response to their view of the city.

Strand two was concerned with the creation of new work, specifically by local artists, performers and writers - this is the Bodily Functions Performance Company. It is envisaged that the company will continue to work beyond 2005, the company being the legacy from the year of Live Art.
