Road closures due to Cork City Marathon on Sunday 3rd June

The following streets will be closed to public traffic from 05.30 on Sunday, 3rd June 2018 to 18.00 on Sunday, 3rd June 2018 to facilitate the Cork City Marathon and Half Marathon Races.

Streets to be Closed:
St. Patrick’s Street, Academy Street, Half Moon Street, Little William Street, Emmett Place, Drawbridge Street, North Main Street, Adelaide Street, Cornmarket Street, Kyle’s Street, Oliver Plunkett Street, Grand Parade, South Mall, Parnell Place, Merchant’s Quay, Lavitt’s Quay, Coal Quay, Kyrl’s Quay, Pope’s Quay, Camden Quay and Christy Ring Bridge.

Alternative routes for Traffic will be as signposted. The Mahon Walkway will be closed for pedestrian use from Blackrock Castle to its junction with the old Passage Railway Line, and from there to its junction with the Marina, from 07.30hrs to 12.00 on Sunday, 3rd June 2018.

Please note that the Black Ash Park and Ride facility will operate a normal service for the day, and Paul Street car park will open from 11:30 to midnight. North Main Street car park will open from 11:30 to 21:30. Members of the public should be aware that there will be disruption to traffic and pedestrian movement along and in the vicinity of the Race routes for the duration of the Races.
